Stayed one night in Scottsdale on our way to Sedona. This is an older but very charming hotel in Scottsdale
Had both dinner and breakfast at the only restaurant in the hotel- very good!
A nice historical stop on the way to Sedona, Indian ruins that date about 900 years!
We arrived in beautiful Sedona and did the easy Aiport Mesa hike - one of the popular Vortex (special energy centers)
Had dinner at Mariposa, lots of hearty steak dishes!
Amara is very Central and right next to the famous L' Auberge. Rooms are on the smaller side, nothing special but location is good
A must activity especially if you have adventurous kids! Off roading tour with a fun guide!
Less touristy, easy hike recommended by our pink Jeep driver. Very lush! The optional climb at the end leads to amazing views!
Our driver also recommended this place for it's unique and good appetizers, cactus fries, snake sausage and bison brochettes. We also had steaks which were just ok.
This is one of the most popular hikes and there's limited parking so we came back in the morning to beat the crowds. It's worth the effort to climb all the way up. Another Vortex spot 😁
It was cold but beautiful, and a fun way to go horseback riding for beginners! The owners are very friendly and helpful and feed you cowboy style afterwards. Country fiddler included!
We ate breakfast at the resort's Salt Rock restaurant but it's also known for good dinners
We drove to the Grand Canyon which unfortunately had very poor visibility but the snow made both the drive and the walk by the time very scenic. Roads were well maintained with ploughs regularly clearing but we did see a few stranded cars!
We picked the Delano which is next to the Mandalay Bay because it’s non smoking and was a great deal! Rooms are spacious and suite style!
The Bellagio hotel is famous for it's extravagant decorations, the Christmas exhibit did not disappoint!
First food tour did not disappoint! Discovered restaurants that we would have otherwise never tried. Our guide also pointed out all these cool speak easies at the Cosmopolitan hotel which we sadly did not have time to try
We tried our first we electric bikes at the Red Rock Canyon park. It was breathtaking but freezing cold and very busy because of the snow. Worth a visit as it's only 20mns outside of the strip!
A must stop if you have time to drive about an hour out of Vegas, and it's not summertime. Amazing scenery and landscape, we only did 3 hikes but could have spent the day. Indian petroglyphs are easily seen and worthwhile.
We ended the vacation with a fun hockey game. The Vegas Golden Knights have very dedicated fans and it makes for a fun experience
