Good breakfast at hotel but service was lagging a bit.
Planned a full day with museum visits and decided to walk from the hotel to the museum triangle area. It’s about a 30-min walk through a long tree-lined promenade. The promenade is composed of 3 segments and each has a few sights along the way. This is the first one: Paseo de la Catellana.
The second segment of the walking promenade: Paseo de Recoletos. The part of the promenade is filled with street book booths.
The third and the last segment of the walking promenade: Paseo del Prado.
Museu Thyssen has a great selection of paintings from Antonio Giovanni CANAL "Canaletto" and Edward Hopper. You can spend about 2-2.5 hours in this museum.
The museum offers free entrance on Monday 12-4pm. When I got there around 1130am, there was already a long line but when I came out around 230pm, there was no line at all.
I spent 3 hours at Prado museum and had paella in the museum cafeteria for lunch. It was pretty good!
A great tasting dinner at Lua to end a perfect day exploring Madrid. And the price was pretty reasonable (€60pp).
