Built by King Phayu in 1345 to house the ashes of his father, Wat Phra Singh is one of the most important temples in Chiang Mai. The beautiful temple complex features gilded rooftops and golden chedis. Despite its ancient history and importance, Wat Phra Singh is a living and working temple and very much part of the local community with a monastery and school contained within the grounds.

Kanta Elephant Sanctuary offers a retirement home for ALL elephants who have previously worked for tourism entertainment or in the logging industry. Visitors can feed, walk with, and observe the beautiful rescued elephants as they roam throughout the sanctuary, socialize and bathe naturally in the huge fresh water lagoons, as they would in the wild.
