Our next morning was a slow start for us. The rain didn’t stop until around 9:30am and then it was just very cold and wet outside... but our sleeping bags were warm.
We didn’t start to pack up until around 11. Everything was soaked, we had a hard time making fire for morning bone broth and coffee, and again- cold.
When we got it together we went to the Daniel Boone coffee shop. A staple of RRG.
We went to a gas station for a breakfast sandwich.
And we headed back to the natural bridge. Mostly because every other trail we had planned on going on was too long for the short winter daylight hours left, or they were flooded from the rain from the night before.
We hiked a huge loop around the natural bridge trail, had a great time, ate Miguel’s pizza- another staple, and headed home.
