Things to do in New York City | New York | United States

The Empire State Building is a 102-story Art Deco skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan in New York City, United States. It was designed by Shreve, Lamb & Harmon and built from 1930 to 1931. Its name is derived from "Empire State", the nickname of the state of New York. The building has a roof height of 1,250 feet and stands a total of 1,454 feet tall, including its antenna. The Empire State Building stood as the world's tallest building until the construction of the World Trade Center in 1970; following its collapse in 2001, the Empire State Building was again the city's tallest skyscraper until 2012. As of 2020, the building is the seventh-tallest building in New York City, the ninth-tallest completed skyscraper in the United States, the 49th-tallest in the world, and the sixth-tallest freestanding structure in the Americas. Traveler Notes

Went up in the Empire State Building, the view was truly beautiful and better than I thought. Would go there and see that view again in a heartbeat. It was fantastic and a classic thing to do while visiting NYC. It was a magic experience. If you can, go there sometime. You won’t regret getting to see that view at night.

We came late at night so it was hard to see the Empire State Building when we first drove past it. This was the first time I saw the building in real life in day time. It was so cool and I still remember the feeling. We ate breakfast at Wendy’s for the first time and it was okay!

Make sure to go on a nice sunny day. If it’s foggy, you won’t be able to see much.
