Les Invalides is an extensive complex of buildings and structures designed for the care and housing of disabled veterans and as a place of worship. Today Les Invalides also house a few museums and monuments dedicated to the military history of France such as Musée de l'Armée, the Musée des Plans-Reliefs, the Musée d'Histoire Contemporaine, and a shrine for some of France's leading military figures, most notably Napoleon's Tomb.
