Al Fresco on Atwells wasn’t exactly what we thought it would be - the street was blocked for cars but the restaurants weren’t taking up the entire street. We had two reservations, and opted for Massimos because Old Canteen didn’t have outdoor seating. We think it’ll be busier as the summer goes on given it was still a little chilly.
The place was packed - inside and outside - which led to a 30 minutes for our reserved table. The food service was pretty slow, but MC’s fig pork chop with gnocchi was delicious; Kev’s pasta with buratta and meatballs was just OK.
Had trouble getting an Uber home (apparently there are hardly any drivers around!), but finally made it. MC whacked her head on the slanted ceiling, so it was a bumpy end to the night.
