The Nollendorfkiez is a residential area in Berlin 's Schöneberg district in the Tempelhof-Schöneberg district. It comprises the area from the eponymous Nollendorfplatz with the Motzstraße that branches off from it to Viktoria-Luise-Platz and the branch streets and nearby side streets to Kleiststraßein the north and Hohenstaufenstrasse in the south.
Since the beginning of the 20th century, a lesbian and gay community has been able to establish itself here, with an infrastructure specially designed for queer people. The Lesbian-Gay Street Festival Berlin has been held every year in Motzstraße since 1993 . There are numerous establishments serving the LBGTQ community in the neighborhood, including bars and pubs, bed and breakfasts, medical practices as well as advice centers and the office of the LSVD Berlin-Brandenburg .
