Love this museum because you can examine all the painting upclose and it’s not too crowded like the Louvre. Two highlights from the visit: 1) Monet’s large panoramic wall installations of water Lilly (really impressive scale), and 2) Paul Guillaume’s impressive collection of paintings from late 1800 and early 1900 (Picasso, Renoir, Cezanne, Derain, Matisse, etc.).
Also fell in love with this female artist, Marie Laurencin, who has a very unique style. Her Portrait of Mademoiselle Chanel is so mesmerizing that I wanted to own that painting (but can’t afford of course so I bought two postcards instead).
