We made it to Peyto lake where we parked at the ….mountain viewpoint car park and walked up the icy km to the lookout. Worth the stroll in inappropriate footwear.
Peyto Lake is a unique glacier-fed waterway in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies. It was named for Bill Peyto, an early trail guide and trapper in the Banff area. The lake is known for its bright turquoise water and is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the Banff - Jasper area.
