Quartieri Spagnoli

Located near the center of Naples, Quartieri Spagnoli (the "Spanish Quarter") is a neighborhood made of narrow alleys with hanging clothes, small taverns and pizzerias, all elements that best represent the old charms of Naples and the Neapolitans.

Quartieri Spagnoli was an area used by the Spanish soldiers during the occupation in the 16th century.  For many years, the Spanish Quarter was a place to avoid due to its association with crime and especially prostitution. In recent years, the neighborhood has gone through a drastic transformation to become one of the main tourist attractions of the city.  a place made of narrow alleys, clothes hanging in the sun, small taverns, elements that best represent the soul of Naples and the Neapolitans.
