Tigua is a native community of the Andes of Ecuador, belonging to Quechuas - the largest indigenous group in South America. Tigua community scattered in the immediate vicinity of Quilotoa Lake formed in the crater of the Quilotoa Volcano (3914 m), about 150 km southwest of Quito, the capital of Ecuador.
