nice wee hill walk up to a beautiful corrie lochan! unfortunately as a few of us were only in trainers (guilty) we could not climb to the summit as it was too icy. None the less we still had a great walk with some great views and even managed to see a bothy! For those non Scots a bothy is a small house with a fire and shelter so any campers travelling past can stop by and get warm.
Finished off our day visiting the highest beach in the UK! great panoramic views at this loch and although we didnt kayak here, there was the oppurtunity and it looked fun!
chilling in the hot tub at the house π
We tried out the local go karting track! it was great fun and added some good competition to the holiday (where we had some sore losers who could not believe they were the slowest). The competition was judged through the times of the laps so it didnt matter to you if someone overtook (something i only learned after our first attempt when everyone shouted at meπ¬)
Here we hired out 3 double kayaks and spent an hour on the loch, we had some great fun with challenging each other to stand up the fastest on their own kayaks and having mini races (bewarned you will most likely get wet if you attempt this) but we rented out wetsuits too so we didnt care if we capsized which just added to our fun.
A quick stop off at Loch an Eilein before the drive back to glasgow! Nice views and found some decent rocks to skim in the water.
