If you are in town to shop, go to King Street. Wear good walking shoes and shop from one end to the other. National stores and local shops, you can find something for everyone.
So we ducked in here just because it was close to our car. Little did we know it was owned by a Virginia Tech Hokie alum. Made it seem a little like home.
Drove out to Sullivan’s island to add another lighthouse to the list and spent a little time on the beach.
Finished up the day with milk shakes to the extreme. My wife got “Build me up Buttercup” and I got “Sweet Cheesus”. It will take a lot to work off those calories.
Walking/running/biking path along the bridge. 2.7 miles one way. A great morning walk.
First time visiting. History was good, gardens were beautiful. Got to see a few alligators sunning themselves.
Depends on what you read, but the tree is between 400 and 1500 years old. It is regarded as one of the oldest living things east of the Mississippi. It is amazing to see in person.
Took the ferry out to the fort. Again a great amount of history. We were able to watch the flag lowering ceremony at 5 in the evening. Saw a couple of dolphins in the process.
Morning run down by the river and fishing pier in Mount Pleasant.
Last minute shopping at the outlets before heading out.
Grabbed a quick lunch at this quirky little joint. Several different burgers and sandwiches… and… several different meats depending on the day. Wild boar, gator, elk, venison, camel depending on the day. Also serving adult milk shakes. Staff was very friendly.
