We received a couple of gift certificates from this hot pot restaurant so we decided to give it a try. Once you are seated they give you little plastic baggies to put your mask in and a pony tail holder to keep your hair back.
Ordering is done on an iPad. We ordered two different soup bases, tomato and pork bone broth. We also ordered a combo plate of beef and veggies, scallops, bean curd and noodles. The broth was tasty but the tomato one a little oily.
After you order your food you can use their spice bar. There they have dessert and spices to use with your dinner. We got soy sauce, hoisin, garlic, green onions and cilantro.
We placed a second order of food for short ribs, fish, shrimp and napa. I guess we were hungry.
Overall the food was good but a little pricey.
It was just the two of us for dinner one night in Santa Clarita. We tried to go to a steak restaurant, but it was very busy. Looking for somewhere new to try we found this Mexican restaurant.
Dinner was very good. I had a chili rellano con pollo…delicious…and dad had chicken mole and a very large margarita. Food was good but a little pricey.
After a quick stop to Rose Hills to check dad’s aunt gravesite we went looking for something to eat. I found this place on Yelp.
I ordered the chicken sandwich with garlic fries. It was delicious. Dad order the fried chicken (spice level 6/10). It was spicy but tasty.
We were in Ensenada for Ama’s funeral. On the day of the viewing we stopped in this cute place for breakfast. (Daniel found it on Yelp.)
The place was modern and very clean. We started off sharing a guava pastry and a carrot loaf pastry. Both were delicious. I got waffles. It was good. It had a little guava in the batter which gave it a sweet taste. Daniel had manchaca which he said was delicious. We also had fresh fruit juice.
