We left on October the 5th at 7:45 am to head to Cheyenne for our Covid test. All 4 of us were negative. Over night flight to Munich which by the picture was brutal
Finally on our ship Holland America the Eurodam. We are tired and silly. To bed early.
On a one day sail. We had to have a Lemon drop Martini for Doug Schmitz
We are docked in Athens Greece. The hills are 10 miles away and that is Turkey
In Athens we took a bus to the Acropolis dated 437 BC. We took a virtual reality glasses and when you looked at the ruins you saw the way it was in 437 BC. Hit the door and go inside so very cool to see. We made a stop at the ancient colosseum. We ate Greek pizza and gelato. Played in Texas Holdem tournament with 8 men got second. Up gambling and listening to a very cool dueling piano duet they are awesome. Introduced to Greek liquor Ouzo. Bought 8 bottles for the men at home. Hope it gets there🥰
The port in Rhodes Greece. Ruins every where. Lots of stone balls that were fired in the wars every where used as decorations along the walks Here over night. First day went on a tour up to a mountain with a castle many cool rooms but our guide was with a very heavy Greek accent so it was a long tour. Went to a little restaurant and ate with 2 ladies from New York and Florida. We shared grape leaves wrapped in cheese. Very unusual. John had a lamb kabob and I had pork. We had coffee Ouzo and we loved it. These ladies loved Trump❤️ Back to the ship Second day we went to new town and then to a beach. The water was cool not cold. It was rocky and very hard to navigate🤪. Got a bit of sun burn weather has been beautiful
Souda Crete Greece. Bus trip to very nice wineries. Olive trees everywhere our guide told us that her family of 3 uses 300 liters of olive oil a year. It’s free to residents. The couple is Fan and Lori on our boat from California. She wrote a book about the cruise from hell. I will order it when I get home. One winery had a cute chapel on it. Very nice place
Tree is 3000 years old
Our friends from Scotland Robert
Amazing views. Did not do a tour. 580 steps up to top either by foot donkey or cable car. We took the cable car. Walked through town. Took a bus to the church with blue dome. Our bus driver hit another bus. Damage to the mirror. Streets extremely narrow. Had some Greek wine and shrimp with our friends from Scotland. Beautiful place
