Let’s go! 🚗
Super beautiful drive from Vegas to St. George. #alltherocks
The Advenire was the perfect hotel for our first night on the road. Look at that wallpaper. Also, the lobby bar’s smoked cocktails were on point. 🙌
Grab drinks at the bar then take them up to the roof top for sunset sips.
Pushed past SLC and headed straight to Poky.
Didn’t see the boys since 2019. First time having Chucky drive me through town (so handy after dinner martinis).
Another full day with the Bissey’s. Brunch, shopping, movie, prime rib… called for an evening to-groni. 🥃
And off to Montana to see auntie and the cousins. Also stopping at Stan’s Choke & Puke - the tradition.
Some much-needed O’Brien time for Memorial Day bbq with burgers, cheesecake and impromptu guitar sessions.
Next stop: Bozeman. 😎
Such a cute remodeled motel. Champagne at check in was a sweet surprise.
Wow, we found super delicious pizza at this student-run joint a bit off the beaten path. Sidewall Pizza for the win!
You can get a half and half as long as it’s the same base sauce.
Tune Up Bar is slinging swanky cocktails in the basement of the Kimpton hotel. 👌
If you ask nicely for a dessert menu, they might bring you a sweet treat from the restaurant upstairs to go with your night cap.
What a lovely surprise our stay in the Sun Valley was! Top-notch hospitality at the resort, beautiful pool area (albeit water that was a bit too warm) and Schnitzel night at the restaurant. Could not have been better.
Find a set of Adirondacks and watch the sun set behind the mountains.
Lots of pride flags in Boise, but besides a ton of restaurants and bars, not really much else to do or see.
The drive from Boise to Reno was rough. There are no services for hours on the US-95. Not even a rest area. 👎
Bring food, water and your patience.
A revisit of our favorite Nevada bar, Death & Taxes. These beauties came with interesting ingredients such as tobacco bitters and banana liqueur. 🙏
The team also runs Amari across the street and is about to open a new project called Curse of Cane.
Just another light dinner… fondue appetizer, killer brussels and tasty bolognese to top off the day.
The location of this Renaissance hotel is really solid because it sits right between Midtown (where the cool bars are) and the casinos.
OMG such good biscuit and gravy vibes. I had to buy a t-shirt because I was such an instant stan. Pine State Biscuits is apparently an Oregon transplant and I’m so happy it found its way to Reno.
Last stop of the road trip: Mammoth. We love the lakes in the area, with Twin Lakes being extra cute.
Stopped at Lake Mary for some bubbles, sunshine and waves. 🌊
Since the lake was too cold for a swim, we headed back to the hotel for some pool time (where the water temperature was just perfect).
And then we stumbled upon this craft spirit treasure. We had to do a tasting and ended up getting two Shelter Distilling bottles for the home bar. 🤭
Shelter Distilling’s “Embers” is a wonderfully smooth peaty whiskey that got 91 points in Whisky Advocate.
Our last day’s drive took us down the 395 through Mojave and Red Rock Canyon.
Zero traffic in 3,000 miles but stuck in the last 30 minutes till home. We are back! #latraffic
Home sweet home! And our neighbors across the street are flying the pride flag. 🏳️🌈
