Found a small Brewery on our way to the first bed and breakfast from Dublin Airport. Split a Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich which was so good.
This B&B was a wonderful first nights stay. Fred (the donkey) was very friendly and loved some good scratches. We stayed in room two which was two twin beds with a beautiful outdoor view. The breakfast served in the morning was very delicious. We chose the scrambled eggs and bacon which also included a bread basket and yogurt and fruit. This was an amazing stay!
We did the self guided tour of the museum. There is a Lego hunt that is a lot of fun to look for and the gift shop is very cute and has a good selection of post cards. Very interesting tour but mom was afraid of the glass floors that were in some places.
I got a salted caramel pistachio frappe which the barista exploded when putting the lid on 😂. It was pretty tasty but not my favorite thing on the trip.
Mom and I joined the self guided tour of Kilkenny castle and saw the inside of the castle as well as the grounds. We hiked down a path by a river and saw some ducks and pigeons that looked like they were posing for a puzzle.
Before the tour of the Waterford crystal factory we had tea at the Waterford Crystal Cafe. All of it was really delicious but the merengue with whipped cream and caramel was probably my favorite. The tea set was really beautiful and fun to drink out of.
We toured The House of Waterford Crystal today and got to learn the history of the company as well as see the process of how the pieces are made. Mom got an ornament of a harp as a souvenir.
