This tours you around the Kandawgyi Palace Hotel and lets you visualize its distinct architectural design , its courteous staff, food and rich culture of Myanmar.
This Palace had a unique architectural design that was distinctly a class of its own. Every visitor was greeted by its welcoming and imposing door that was intricately decorated with carvings detailing the rich culture of the country. Once inside, the ambiance and design of the Palace will surely overwhelm the curious eyes -very regal and elegant. π€© We were greeted by very welcoming and courteous staff when we entered. And their sweet smiles warmed our hearts.
The Kandawgyi Palace Hotel was strategically located near the lakeshore of the Kandawgyi Lake. And from its corridors and windows the Shwedagon Pagoda can be seen -perfectly visible especially during the night shining like a mountain of gold amidst the darkness. One evening, I was siting at the balcony of an elegant French restaurant just enjoying the view of the lake that mirrored the moon and the Pagoda.
Served to every guests were meals/delicacies passionately prepared and infused with a sumptuous fusion of flavors. There were a variety of cuisines to choose from, a blend of local and international. The use of kaffir leaf π in some of the local cuisines left a tangy aftertaste though, but tasty nonetheless. πππ
A cozy room fit for a Royal π with a full view of the enchanting Kandawgyi Lake. π€©π I had this room all to myself, it was very spacious and comfortable. I canβt get enough of this cozy bed, I was totally all over it. ππ
I had to use the Kandawgyi Lake as a point of reference because the Kandawgyi Palace Hotel is permanently closed due to the fire that destroyed the Palace. π It had a good view though of the Shwedagon Pagoda at night, which illuminated in the dark sky night like a candle.
