The original location is right next to a gas station. Apparently, it was one of bourdain’s most memorable meals. Got their famous zman sandwich (brisket, provolone cheese, and onion ring), ribs and burnt ends. Best dish was the burnt ends, hands down.
Golden ox- an old school style steakhouse that makes you feel like you warped back to the 1970s. Kc strip was excellent.
Just because it’s breakfast doesn’t mean you stop eating bbq. Instead just put the burnt ends on a biscuit and call it a burnt ends Benedict. Solid dish, with the potatoes being out of this world.
Must visit. A beautifully designed, powerful museum about a war that many people have forgotten about, but yet still resonates so poignantly today.
A quick trip to Kansas City, Kansas for MLS - Sporting Kansas City v. Real Salt Lake. Not a bad view from any seat.
3rd bbq stop: Q39 - it’s apparently the new kid on the block but is listed as one of the top in kc. Brisket, chicken, and ribs with some damn good beans.
