The quirky Selina Miami River Inn, is actually the oldest licensed hotel in Miami (1898), great vibe and energy around the property with activities every day and evening. Not luxurious at all, but I had a great stay!
Calle Ocho (8th St.) is the heart of the Cuban community, its busy and vibrant, great shops and restaurants.
Home of the Miami Marlins, nice park good crowds!
This area of the Miami river and the shelter provided from I75 above, was the housing encampment for tens of thousands of Cubans fleeing to the US in the 70’s and 80’s. It’s a busy port for recreational and commercial boat traffic.
