Landed in NYC. First flight smooth! Brooklyn was our gate agent, she hooked us up with free snacks onboard. For whatever reason, I chose a bag of tortilla chips and cold yellow queso… for breakfast.
Got iced coffees and a margherita pizza as a pick me up on the Whitney rooftop. Some Aussie girls were at the table next to us.. what a long jaunt. The Whitney had their biennial on display that we got to see.
Made a pit stop at little island, what a cute little park suspended on stilettos. Afterwards, we made our way to Chelsea market to pick up charcuterie and meet up with the group.
Spent the evening snacking on charcuterie and drinking wine on David’s mom’s rooftop. It was a night full of love and laughter, dancing and deep conversation. I wouldn’t change a thing.
What’s a visit to NYC with DCB without going to a Barnes and noble?! Lol
Walking down the streets somewhere after brunch at some pickle place (sadly no pickles were eaten). Ran into Richard Kind and he offered to take a picture for us. Seemed like a regular guy who was real nice. I think we were in the neighborhood Larry David and jerry Seinfeld live in.
The turtles were amazinggggg
Preparing our bags for departure. D realizing she may have overpacked and us helping her downsize her carry on to not be the size of a 100year old tortoise.
Not getting lost for the 483th time in NYC would feel wrong like hot beer. Dumplings and sake served as our farewell dinner pre-flight. Little did we know a screaming baby would contribute to our next 38 hours being overly delirious.
