Half way!!
We are off again, next adventure is Washington DC. Saying goodbye to the beach is sad but also exciting for many more adventure.
We just pulled into a rest stop for a a break and it was very busy and pretty big, the traffic for miles before was at a crawl and we are pretty sure it was just because of the rest area … on a somber note going to places like that just brings you to the reality that COVID is still so real. I already get grossed out being so close to people in public areas and my nose is so sensitive to all the nasty smells 🤢.
We just past the welcomed sign for Virginia
In DC we have lots of plans and will keep posting all our steps
One thing we’ve learned thus far is that there are WAY more cops/highway patrol in Colorado!
And we agree we don’t understand traffic here, The highways don’t flow at all… which is strange because if it was like this in Colorado it would mean there was a wreck or something.. but there was never any thing wrong 🤷♀️
The mall- a giant grassy park with big trees, unlike Colorado so the kids had a blast ‘trying’ to climb them lol
Also we’ve never seen so many food trucks. It was pretty cool, we got stuff from them all. And we had so much ice cream!
Just what I pictured in my head but way better. People were all over but because of COVID I have to say I’m positive it wasn’t nearly as bad as it would have been!
People were so willing to take pictures for other tourist :) one of my favorite pics is tanner wanting to climb the inscription at the Lincoln monument haha
It was so cool to see everything in a row
One of my favorite spots. We got to stand by our states and kids cooled off at the fountain
Soooo much history we learned about
Only thing sad about this is you couldn’t get close at all. It felt like you hadn’t even visited that spot
On this day we walked 6 miles and what big day
So much to see and we didn’t bring the wagon, which wasn’t the smartest thing but our 4 year old did very well lol
Won’t forget the pandas, first time seeing them… really nice zoo
Imaging being here this might be my favorite places to stand, so real
wall street
