When I was here, I was asked to pray for me to go in and looked closer for the statue
I guess , this is just because of the pandemic so the entrance was closed for public
Enjoy lake toba before you actually arrived there
You need to turn around if you come from pematang siantar, their road is way better
Unless their roadwork is done by then
Perfect place for getaway from the hustle bustle of the city. You will sleep inside small yet clean cabin overlooking lake from afar
Wake up with a view ✅
Enjoy the morning walk with the mountain breeze if you stay there
They also offer bbq and steamboat package for the night , or some cabin has their campfire
Need to go with ferry to Samosir Island
The ferry took about 45 minutes to arrive exclude the waiting time for private cars to go in
Enjoy the ferry ride while it last!! They have a very cool scenery that hard to miss out
We’re using Tao Toba II , but if you can, better go to ajibata harbour nearby that goes into Ajibata instead of Tomok, they got better boat and better harbour
Their saksang is best!!
You should try if you’re coming there
Eating bataknese food in the land of Batak
On the opposite side of the road you can also shop for wood carving work from local
A nice place to enjoy the afternoon on the beach
I only ate sausage though, still full from the lunch at elios
This is where we supposed to stay at night, but since most of the recreation places are still closed from the pandemic, we decided to go back to Parapat using ferry instead
Maybe next time!!
It’s really close to the lake so you can enjoy the lake breeze
We shop first while we wait for the ferry to arrive
There’s cloth, mie gomak and kacang, i think you also can’t missed out their sambal andaliman
Shopping for shirt, you can also buy traditional bataknese batik if you’d like, which is better in quality , in my opinion, than the one in the market
We also had lunch on the cafe above it, they’re quite tasty too, lucky us!
You can learn about the heroic figure of indonesia, Mr TB Silalahi
Also digging deeper into Batak traditional museum to know more about their history
I read that it supposed to have traditional Batak dance show if you go here before pandemic, hope it will be available again in the future
Their huta batak is something hard to miss out, they are a replicate of traditional Batak village way back before
Another beach and another coconut drink
But continuing the road you can see another beach that has batak touch in the entrace gate, it’s hard to miss
Then we’re going home after that
We eat ikan tombur and ayam napinadar for the night
To be honest, we can’t go in since it’s undergo some renovation
Now they change their name into Khas Batak
They have a lot of room to offer if you want to stay the night too
Their prices range from IDR 700,000 to 1,200,000 ++
We got here because we want to look around and have some cool pictures to share 😅
Last meal before we head home from this short holiday , ikan bakar!!
In my opinion, this is the cleanest restaurant in our preference
