We had a few mishaps on this trip. When we arrived, the Jeep’s battery was dead and the check engine light was on. We were afraid we would have to drive the motor home back into town for a battery, but Nick dug around and found jumper cables so he managed to jumpstart the Jeep and we were able to get setup. We continued to have issues and had to get a charger to keep the Jeep charged between trips. On the trip between Hunting Island and MB, we noticed the camper making a rubbing noise. At first we thought maybe it was due to all the rain. Upon return home and having everything checked out, we ended up getting a new battery for the Jeep and new brakes for the motor home. Final bummer was the loss of the diamond in my engagement ring. Just happened to notice it was missing as we sat around the campfire on our last night. No clue where or when it happened. 🤷🏻♀️
On the positive side, we had good company despite all the rain. The Hineses joined us for sightseeing, shopping, dining, games, laughs around the campfire.
First night in Hunting Island. Our campsite is just a short walk from the beach with a view of the lighthouse.
Another cloudy day but we fit in a visit to Port Royal
Good friends Herold and Debbie caught up with us and we went for a fun and informative horse carriage tour of Beaufort.

Pulled over to the side of the road just outside the park to enjoy this spectacular sunset. Meanwhile back at the site, we had some visitors.
Visit to the Marine Corp Museum
Another roadside stop
This is Huntington Beach State Park, just south of MB. We want to go back and camp there sometime soon. Good wildlife viewing and nice sites with concrete pads.
A Myrtle Beach breakfast of pancakes at Omega Restaurant
Wandering around and exploring the park.
