Took back roads, 429 to Stopped in Deland at persimmon Hollow brewery, cool vibe, had a beer, bought a T-shirt
They want to come back to this area and explore the downtown shops and restaurants
Out of Deland and we took Highway 11 to Bunnell and over to Flagler Beach, driving up the beach on A1A
Traveled A1A from Flagler Beach to St. Augustine. Stopped at Bings landing and ate at captains bbq, nice area decent bbq. Didn’t have time to go to Washington oaks state park but did pull of the road to see the beach
Tradewinds lounge was not our style so we found this quiet brewery,
Ate dinner and walked around until the shops closed
Had breakfast at Nero’s overlooking the water before exploring the city
The mocha nut!!!!! Best coffe I’ve ever had!
We walked around in and out of little shops and touristy places we found a draft room called Augies that sells beer by the ounce pretty cool because she could try everything
Probably my most favorite place we visited, a distillery right inside the city gates, hence the name. The tour was great the employees were knowledgeable and engaging. Great quality product. Five stars
Distillery was very cool. However the tour was subpar you just kind of walk around by yourself and they hand you a sample without explaining much. Though I would have liked to have had that $200 bottle of bourbon.
Attached is a restaurant and bar called the ice plant. It’s really cool we had a drink and an appetizer
Decent restaurant, the beer list nothing impressive, the salad , veggies, and the tenderloin medallions were good
Back to the kookaburra for mocha nut coffee and dying to try one of these Aussie meat pies although they were out of meat pies they had egg and cheese. Good butNothing special. It takes a lot to impress me
