I’m back again! Sorry for the lack of updates, my final week in Sweden was very busy with schoolwork! After midsommar weekend, my class had to hit the ground running with group projects and exam prep. Most days, my friends and I could be found at a cafe or ice cream shop to study and research for our project. On Tuesday evening after class, my friends and I went paddle boarding. We had such a fun time even after falling in a few times! We then all ventured back to our apartments for dinner and to clean up. I then went to sleep to be ready for a presentation on Wednesday!
On Tuesday, we started with some exam prep in my room. Then I got in the train to Odenplan where I was meeting my group before class to discuss our topic and research on osteoporosis. My group and I got coffee at Wayne’s and then left to meet our class at the Karolinska Institute. While there we were given a tour of the research facility as well as explained specific parts of the new hospital. Our class had to be quiet while walking through the meeting room area as there was a precision medicine conference going on. We made it into our reserved conference room where we learned about neuro developmental diseases and the ongoing research in neonatals. We then thanked our speaker before leaving to get ice cream which our school paid for. Class continued as usual discussing the respiratory system and cystic fibrosis.
Preparing my notes for our cardiovascular project that we present on Wednesday. One assignment down, two to go!
Last class day in Sweden. My friends and I gave a thirty minute presentation on Osteoarthritis and then we listened to other groups and asked questions. We also took a final exam. After class work was done, we went to dinner. Our professor picked a place on the water. I enjoyed a drink and a moose burger( not my fav). We all enjoyed dinner before saying our goodbyes and giving hugs. I’m so thankful for the last three weeks and the time spent with new people learning and loving a new place. Next stop, Copenhagen!
