the jungle club is a great restaurant/resort with some amazing views!! my friend had the bruschetta and she couldnt stop talking about it the full trip, 100% a place to go when visiting samui island.
if your up for a laugh and dont mind falling off things, the challenge phanghan is the place for you!! you get to test your balance and fitness through an obstacle course that is great fun. we went on the day of the full moon party to pass the time as we thought the beaches would be very busy.
a wee trip to the small island of koh nang yuan when we were staying at koh tao to get the best sea for snorkelling (or so we were told) but it didn’t disappoint! the sea was very clear and i managed to see a lot of different kinds of fish!
once you manage to get yourself up the stairs of death, you find these spectacular views!! would recommend going to the viewpoint in the morning as with the climb and the heat you become very hot and very sweaty. there was a nice cafe offering fruit shakes and other refreshments at the top if you forgot to climb with water which was a savour for me :)
the breakfast here was insane!! the full menu layout looked incredible i didnt know what to pick it all looked so good (so we went back the next day for lunch). reasonably priced and very fresh food
another restaurant we just had to visit more than once! the choices on the menu were wide and varied and there are still things i wish i had (although the food i got was very nice). they had live music most nights too which really added to the atmosphere of pirates house.
this place unfortunately did not live up to its name :(. on the day we visited there were no monkeys about, but the beach was beautiful! we ended up spying the monkeys on a nearby rocks and a smaller beach but as it was our last stop on the boat tour we ran out of time and couldnt get off to go see them
wow!!! this place is magical, we went here early in the morning to avoid all the busy tourist boats and when you hear how quiet the lagoon is when the boat engine turns off and theres no one else about - surreal.
this restaurant is filled with chill vibes with beanbags set out to relax while listening to live music
a morning climb that we were unsure would be worth it when we struggling up the mountain, but were completly wrong when we reached the top and saw these views!! my first visit to anywhere in asia so the landscape is so different to anything im used to, it was amazing to see so so far into the inland and over the andaman sea
what to do in a city when theres a thunderstorm? shop!! chaing mai has some good air conditioned shopping centres nearby each other which saved us from a very boring and sad day
hands down the best. day. ever.
make sure you visit an elephant sanctuary when in thailand - you will not regret it! (but please no riding camps save the elephants guys)
most special day with my favourite animal
