We set off from Sellicks at 6 am. Ready for the huge adventure ahead.
We thought maybe Keith would be a good stop for breakfast, but by the time we arrived in Tintinara mums tummy was grumbling! A quick stop gobbling up our yoghurt pouches, muesli bars and fruit. Also all used the loo and jumped back on the road. C, S, and A pulled out their travel journals and mum is trying to figure this app out and decide if it’s a good solution for sharing our adventures.
The Green Lake was a great little stop for the loo. Beautiful view across to the Grampian Mountains. The kids had a bit of a climb on the rocks near the lake, and we saw what we think was a brown falcon circling some roadkill overhead.
Back on the road we broke open a bag of popcorn and watched many semis loaded with huge tractors and combines drive past. We guess maybe headed to the Horsham show?
The sunshine is beautiful!
A sunny stop for lunch at Ararat. We were quite impressed with the town. Many old historic buildings, a reasonable sized Main Street and a lovely picnic area. Caleb enjoyed chasing the seagulls while we are our picnic lunch. We checked out the visitor information Center around the corner. Was minimalistic but changing art displays and what looked like a very nice coffee shop and cafe.
